Help

Volunteer at a DojoMór Event

Whether or not you can code, you can help a local club in just a few hours a month! Dojos need general volunteers, and mentors for sessions. Even mentors don’t have to have technical skills, because they help the young people mainly by encouraging them to discover their own way forward.

Our Mission

“We want to make sure that every child in Ireland has the opportunity to learn how to code! “

What is DojoMór?

DojoMór is a CoderDojo community event

Sponsors

This DojoMór event has been kindly sponsored by the HEA.

CoderDojo

CoderDojo is a worldwide movement of free, volunteer-led, community-based programming clubs for young people. Anyone aged seven to seventeen can visit a Dojo where they can learn to code, build a website, create an app or a game, and explore technology in an informal, creative, and social environment.

About

The CoderDojo movement believes that an understanding of programming languages is increasingly important in the modern world, that it’s both better and easier to learn these skills early, and that nobody should be denied the opportunity to do so.
To that end, we’ve built a global network of free, volunteer-led, community-based programming clubs for young people. Anyone aged seven to seventeen can visit a Dojo where they can learn to code, build a website, create an app or a game, and explore technology in an informal, creative, and social environment.

Foundation

The Foundation was established in 2013 by CoderDojo co-founder James Whelton to provide a structured entity to support the rapid expansion of the global movement.

Supporters

CoderDojo is supported by organisations and philanthropists who share our vision of a world where every child has the opportunity to learn to code and be creative in a safe and social environment.
